EU Directive 2011/65/EU (Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electronic and Electrical Equipment) aims to prevent hazardous substances from entering the production process and thereby keep them out of the waste stream.

  • lead (Pb) < 1000 ppm
  • mercury (Hg) < 100 ppm
  • hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) < 1000 ppm
  • cadmium (Cd) < 100 ppm
  • polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) 1000 ppm
  • polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) < 1000 ppm

A new Directive (EU) 2015/863 of four additional substances have now been confirmed for inclusion in the RoHS Directive (as early as 22 July 2019):

  • Bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) < 1000 ppm
  • Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP) < 1000 ppm
  • Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) < 1000 ppm
  • Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) < 1000 ppm

Our Compliance Department is constantly working to maintain a database of RoHS compliant parts. Currently, a large majority of ChengShang Technology items do not contain any of the RoHS restricted substances above the set limits.
